CLEVELAND – On Monday, February 12, 2018, construction will commence on the Brooklawn Avenue Culvert Improvement Project over Big Creek. The road will be closed to thru traffic between West 129th Street and West 120th Street for the duration of construction activities. Local access to properties adjacent to the culvert will be maintained. All adjacent driveways will be accessible during this closure.

The Brooklawn Avenue Culvert Replacement Project includes the replacement of the culvert, new concrete pavement, concrete drive apron, new curb, underdrain and walk just east and west of the culvert, the lowering of watermain, additional miscellaneous water work, and the relocation of power poles. The work will take place during daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Work is scheduled for completion in July 2018.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
