The City of Cleveland Department of Economic Development provides technical assistance, creative financing and educational opportunities that will ensure a vibrant economic future for the region.
Its mission is to assist businesses expanding within or relocating to the City of Cleveland. This includes financing, workforce solutions and technical assistance that will encourage investment in the community to enhance the lives of Cleveland citizens. The Department works in concert with other departments in Cleveland City Hall, as well as with several local and regional partners.
City of Cleveland TIF Strategy
The City’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) strategy is designed to transform Cleveland and reverse decades of economic decline. Tactically using TIFs as part of the City’s broader economic development strategy will, in the long run, grow the City’s and region’s economy to the benefit of all and grow the pot of resources available to the City and our partners.
