Division of Assessments and Licenses

The Division of Assessments and Licenses provides administrative, regulatory and financial services for constituents and other city divisions.  Services include:

  • Issuance and enforcement of various permits and licenses
  • Business tax administration
  • Invoice and/or collection of special improvement districts, assessments, and other city services
  • Inspection of weighing and measuring devices throughout the City of Cleveland

Next Meeting

The Board of Revisions of Assessments (“Board”) had scheduled a meeting to hear objections to the following street vacation resolutions of Cleveland City Council on March 31, 2020. That meeting was canceled due to restrictions implemented to stop the spread of COVID-19. The Board has rescheduled its meeting for July 29, 2020, at 1:00 pm. Pursuant to temporary amendments to Ohio’s Opening Meetings Act, the meeting will be held virtually on the WebEx platform. Your attendance at this virtual meeting is optional, unless you are opposed to the proposed vacation, or there are City of Cleveland Departmental charges involved.
