Division of Waste Collection and Disposal

This Division provides weekly collection of waste from 155,000 Cleveland homes, the West Side Market, Fire and Police Stations, the Justice Center, City Hall and other City buildings, and public areas.

It also places dumpsters at neighborhood events and community functions and plays an active role in special cleanup programs. Dumpsters are also available for commercial accounts and homeowners.

  • Holiday Waste Pick-up Schedule for 2020 Now Available

    The 2020 Holiday Waste Pick-up Schedule, which includes information on Bulk Pick-Up, is now available.

  • No Waste Collection Delay on President’s Day

    City of Cleveland offices – including City Hall, Cleveland Public Power and Cleveland Water – will be closed on Monday, Feb.17, 2020 in observance of President’s Day. All City of Cleveland offices will reopen the following day.
    However, there will not be a delay in waste collection during the week of Feb. 17, 2020.

  • About the Automated Waste Collection Program

    The automated waste-collection program is significantly efficient and user-friendly, and allows items to be recycled curbside.Through this program, residents receive sturdy garbage carts for trash and recycling which can be wheeled to the curb. The program also allows Clevelanders to recycle yard waste including grass clippings and branches.

Commercial Services Now Available
