Birth of Downtown Cleveland

Birth of Downtown Cleveland: A Vision Interrupted

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

The 1903 Group Plan for Cleveland’s downtown laid out a vision of neoclassical splendor, an open civic area filled with grand fountains, graceful sculptures and formal gardens. Hear authors David Ford and Brad Schwartz detail a story more than a century in the making with their new book Birth of Downtown Cleveland: A Vision Interrupted. Then take a guided tour of both the Photograph Collection and Map Collection where guests will have an opportunity to view some of the many photos and maps pertaining to 1903 Group Plan.

The authors will be available to sign books following the talk.
