O.H. Perry Ribbon Cutting
Mayor Frank G. Jackson joined community leaders and a host of students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District(CMSD) to celebrate the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Oliver H. Perry Elementary School on Aug. 22. The facility is complete with interactive touch screens, a sensory room, a large gymnasium and modular furniture suitable for group work as well as a project lab dedicated to STEM learning.
In addition to remarks given by Mayor Jackson, students and attendees also heard from Principal Brittani Irvin, Mary Louise Daley of the Collinwood Nottingham Historical Society, Board of Education Member Lisa Thomas, Ph.D., Ward 8 Councilman Michael Polensek, State Representative Terrence Upchurch, CEO of CMSD Eric Gordon and Betsy Voinovich.
