We envision a Cleveland where it is safe, comfortable, and convenient to get around. Safety is our top priority - no Clevelander should be killed or seriously injured in a traffic crash. Beyond just safety, we envision a city where you can access everything you need within a 15-minute walk, bike, or transit ride. We can all access a grocery store, a place to see a doctor, a park, a school, and more without needing a car. This isn't just physically possible, but it also feels comfortable and convenient. The street feels safe enough to walk along or bike in. The route to your transit stop is accessible. When you arrive at your destination, there's a designated place to park a bicycle.
This vision aligns with our goals not only around traffic safety, but also access to opportunity, public health, and sustainability.
