The Cleveland Division of Police Online Crime Reporting System makes it easier and more convenient to file a police report without leaving home. However, not every crime can be reported using this system.
In the event of an emergency, such as a crime in progress or someone is hurt or in danger, call or text 9-1-1 immediately.
Individuals who can answer "yes" to any of the questions below may call the police non-emergency number 216.621.1234 to file a report or visit the FAQ's for more information.
Users must be 18 or older to use the Online Crime Reporting System.
Prior to beginning the online filing, users should have a valid email address, pop-up blocking software should be turned off, and all the information related to the incident should be available.
Once the report is complete, the following words will appear: "Your online police report has been submitted." The report filer will then be given a police report case number and be directed to print a copy for their records.
Upon review, if further investigation is needed, the Division will contact the filer via email. A final confirmation with a permanent report number will later be sent to that same email address.
Filers should add the following email address to their contacts list so that messages and reports from the Division are not rejected as spam: OhClevelandPd@Coplogic.com. This email address cannot receive emails.
