On September 20th, 2023, Mayor Bibb and the entirety of City Hall celebrated the inaugural class of Mayor's City Innovator Award winners. This award intends to recognize outstanding employees who are known for their creative spirit, their tendency to challenge the status quo, and for their inclination to face roadblocks with an innovative mindset. Those honored were first nominated by their colleagues and then selected from a competitive pool of ninety-five nominees by a committee in the Office of the Mayor.
The following City employees were chosen for the award:
- Anthony (Tony) Bango, Community Development
- First Grade Firefighter Antoine Crews, Division of Fire
- Public Works' Illegal Dumping Team, Public Works
- Tamar Jensen, Bureau of Internal Audit
- Etoi Shaquila Young, Public Health
- Dro Sohrabian, Urban Analytics and Innovation
Please join us in congratulating these individuals! We are proud of their dedication to Cleveland residents and of their transformative contributions to the City of Cleveland. We look forward to continuing to honor more outstanding City employees with this award next year.
