In 2020, the City of Cleveland adopted Resolution 296-2020, declaring Racism a Public Health Crisis. Through the three initiatives below, the City and community leaders are working to support health and equity for all residents and visitors.

Interdepartmental Equity Team

The Interdepartmental Equity Team (IET) is operationalizing equity inside the city through the creation of a strategic plan and the use of the Health and Equity Assessment tool.

Racism as a Public Health Crisis Coalition

Community leaders identify strategies that organizations in Cleveland can take to address racism and ensure equity for all residents.

City leadership and decision makers identify strategies for the City of Cleveland government to improve Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
