Free event will be held at Metro Campus the day after Paul’s “LUCKY ME” memoir goes on sale and all attendees will receive a free copy
Thursday, September 21, 2023 — Cleveland — The City of Cleveland, KLUTCH Sports Group, and Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) announced “HOMECOMING: A Conversation Between Rich Paul, Mayor Bibb, and the Community on Overcoming Struggle, Finding Success, and Taking Pride in Cleveland” will take place at Tri-C’s Metro Campus Auditorium on Wednesday, October 11. The event will feature iconic sports agent Rich Paul and Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb.
The two will have an engaging conversation with the audience about what it’s like growing up in Cleveland, the challenges it presents, and what steps youth today can take to ensure future success in their career paths. The event comes on the heels of the release date for “LUCKY ME: A Memoir of Changing the Odds” – a book about Paul’s riveting life story. All attendees will receive a free copy but must register for the free event. Registration will close once the 750-person capacity limit is reached.
“I am so excited to welcome home one of the most influential figures in the sports industry,” said Mayor Bibb. “Rich’s remarkable journey is something I hope Cleveland’s youth and young adults can look at for inspiration and realize that we can achieve anything we set our minds to.”
“It’s a real privilege to come back to Cleveland to celebrate the release of my memoir, Lucky Me. The book details how this city shaped me into the businessman and person I am today,” said Rich Paul. “To be able to now sit down with the Mayor of Cleveland, who I am lucky enough to call a good friend, is a very surreal moment.”
Doors will open at approximately 5:30 p.m. Attendees will be required to show registration confirmation and will be given a free copy of Paul’s book upon entering. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and start with an initial conversation between Mayor Bibb and Rich Paul that will be followed by an engaging Q&A session with audience members. A QR code will be posted at the entrance and throughout the venue for attendees to scan and submit questions. The event is free and open to all ages. Those who are interested must register on the Eventbrite page.
Roc Lit 101 is scheduled to publish Paul’s “LUCKY ME” memoir on Tuesday, October 10. Additional details about the book are available on the publisher’s website.
